Labour’s shadow work and pensions secretary, Jonathan Ashworth, joined Trevor Phillips on Sophy Ridge on Sunday to discuss the net migration figures showing that 606,000 came to the UK in the year to December 2022.
Mr Ashworth says the high figure has happened “on the Conservatives’ watch”, and adds: “We want to see migration lower than it is.”
